Borderlands, The Holidays And You
Playing Borderlands during our busy holidays is as challenging as shooting Lance Infantry and Defender soldiers in Old Haven during multi-player mode.
For us gamers who love “everything Borderlands,” the holiday break is a tantalizing time to visit Pandora because of our respite from work and/or school. But we've got those pesky holiday obligations:
--stacks of gifts to buy and wrap
--holiday parties your friends are throwing on any given night
--countless hours of Christmas and holiday movies with family and relatives to watch
--faking gratitude when you receive useless gifts like an ugly sweater that doesn't fit anyway
Kotaku Previews Mad Moxxi
Kotaku posted their preview yesterday afternoon of Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. The previewer's conclusion is below:
Looking For A Borderlands Guide Columnist
Hello Borderlanders. We're looking for somebody to help keep the front page of Borderlands Guide updated with fresh and relevant information for the community. If you like Borderlands and like to write (or would like to get better at writing), keep reading.
What The Columnist Would Be Doing
Writing one column each week of between 250 and 500 words. The topic can be anything related to Borderlands. You could write a top 5 list, a tutorial, a roundup of cool forum posts, or your opinion on some Borderlands news. Expect to spend an hour or two each week.

Off Topic: Saddest Video Game Story Of The Year
Our sister site Modern Warfare Guide has a tragedy worth checking out. Think Romeo and Juliet if they played Xbox live.
Borderlands 2 Press Release (Sort Of)
Corporate press releases are typically as useful as a butter knife in a gun fight. They're corporate propaganda. But sometimes there's some good details when you read between the lines.
Exhibit A: the fourth quarter press release from Borderlands publisher Take-Two Interactive Software (NASDAQ:TTWO). Say the suits:
Caption Contest: Part VI

Here we go again. Another caption contest. It's like a sword duel, except the weapon is your wit instead of a sword. And nobody gets stabbed.
So fire away. Above we have a screenshot from the recently announced expansion Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot.
If you're stuck, the bandit slumped over in the bird cage might be a good place to start. WTF?
Sometimes A Phone Call Is Better Than An E-Mail
Asking questions about Borderlands on our forums is always an option but sometimes you need an answer from a higher power. This Wednesday Gearbox big gun Randy Pitchford will be chatting on Kotaku's call-in podcast at 11am MT, 1pm ET. Kotaku will post the call-in number Wednesday. (Kotaku).
