2009 is in the books but before we forget about it completely, I figured I would run down the most popular posts of the year. These weren't necessarily the most important or best written ones, but they certainly got the most eyeballs.

Here they are in reverse order. Drumroll please.

6. First Borderlands Review Via OXM - No surprise that this caught so much attention. At the time, this was our first review from somebody who actually played the game.

His name is MAG Game Guide and he'll focus on MAG, the upcoming PS3 shooter.

One of the (few) shortcomings of Borderlands is the relatively limited player-versus-player options. We've decided to do something about it.

Borderlands Guide is starting a player-versus-player ladder to kick off 2010. If you're interested, just post your information in the thread below and read on for how the tournament will work.

This system is a work in progress so everyone is encouraged to post any comments/suggestions.

In Borderlands, the most painstaking choice you might ever face comes after finding a sweet weapon with a full inventory.

Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot hits the 360 tomorrow. It arrives on the PS3 next week and the PC release is tentatively slated for 3253 A.D. (I kid about the last one, but at the rate Gearbox is going with the PC DLC's, don't expect it soon.)

Gearbox designer Matt Armstrong sat down with Shacknews to discuss the latest expansion. Here's some of his more interesting quotes.
