Gunopedia Gets A Fix

The sort feature in the Gunopedia now works again. Sort away ladies and gentlemen.

Movies That Might Not Suck: The Adjustment Bureau

Bureaus are generally boring. A bureau can either be a chest that you keep sweaters in (boring) or a government agency that does something like review forms from broccoli farmers (even more boring).

So, generally speaking, having the word bureau in a title is a turn-off for me. But this movie just might be able to overcome its title. Loosely based on a Philip K. Dick short story, the film is due out in September. This new trailer has got me curious enough to add it to my Netflix queue when the time comes.

Stuff You Should Check Out: People Climbing Everest

Today I want to talk about people climbing Everest. If you like the Borderlands setting, I think you'll enjoy this setting as well. At the top of Everest it's a bit like Pandora. It's barren, desolate and dangerous. If you're in trouble, there's nobody that will come to help you.

Borderlands Influences Indie Film

Borderlands has a distinct style and was a huge hit. It's no surprise then that others are borrowing inspiration from the game. Indie filmmaker Tim Pape says Borderlands was an inpiration for his latest project. You can watch the first episode on Youtube.

Character Idea: The Arsenal

I had another character type idea the other day, one who could build weapons from parts, or from taking apart existing weapons to get at their components. This character could be called a "Weaponeer", though the dictionary definition of that word is "one who designs atomic bombs"... heh), so even better, "Arsenal". (I personally prefer "Gadgeteer", but this is the wrong genre for that, and since he specifically builds guns, the other is more appropriate.)

Zombie Island Half-Off On Xbox Live

Xbox Live gold members can get the Zombie Island expansion for half price this week. That means the same amount of zombies of half the moolah. By my calcuations, that's a good ZROI (zombie return on investment). Anybody who had been waiting on picking this up going to get it now?

Borderlands Half-Price On Steam This Weekend

Borderlands is 50% off on Steam this weekend. If you're spending a lot of time on a site called Borderlands Guide though you've probably already bought the game (or are just really weird). So convince a friend or buy a copy or pick one up for a child in a third-world country.

How many PC gamers out there are a fan of digital distribution networks like Steam or do you prefer to get a hard copy? I like the Steam route. Less clutter and I never have to find the disc.

New Claptrap Video

There's a new Clap-trap video out. I would say more, but I don't want to spoil anything.
