Howdy Partners!
Are you looking for that hard to find item? Do you need an SMG that can kill a skag in 2 seconds and matches your outfit? Are you sitting atop a mountain of weaponry that would make a small nation cry and want to trade in some of that gear to someone who could use it?
Well you've come to the right place! Welcome to Ferrety Salen's Trading Post! With Borderlands just days away, I figured I should start a nice topic for folks who are looking for guns or have guns to trade.
If you're looking for a gun, post a request for what you're looking for. Maybe you're looking for an acid sniper rifle that has damage that ranges from 50 to 65 HP a shot, and at least a 3 round clip. The more info you can provide in what you're looking for, the better someone can have in getting you the gun of your dreams.
Also, if you have a gun, and just don't feel it would be right to sell of to the vendors in game when someone else could probably use your old kick-ass handcannon and probably shell out a few more bucks for something you can use, post up what it is statwise, and what you're asking for in return.
The idea is to help out your fellow BLGers. And maybe make a few cred along the way. Oh, and don't forget to mention if you're on PSN or XBL as well as whatever name you use on such, since it'll be a LITTLE hard to trade a kickin' sniper rifle from your 360 to someone's PS3.

the borderlands stock exchange! Ha Ha Ha awsome idea with 17 milllion guns the chance of finding that cool gun your buddy has would be nearly imposible so a place to trade would be great when he gets a new gun and dosent need his old one.

i need a sniper rifle with the highest zoom possible, in exchange i write a program that can exchange guns between the 360 and ps3. or i'll make a program that will duplicate all the best guns.... actually i figured it out already i'll use multiple save files to duplicate guns and sell them to other people - just a sec i need to warm up my portable 3TB raid hard drive (50 MB/Sec.) thats fast! and it was free just like my wireless keyboard/mouse, nintendo 64, backup power system, laptop, and other stuff. im also going to keep posting stuff i got for free until someone asks why it's free.

Hey now, I know this is a trading post and all, but I would like to keep the transations a little on the up'n'up. Yeah, call me old fashioned, but I don't see no sense in hackin' your way to whatever you want. So, how about we stick to tradin' guns the old fashion way, person to person. Not only does it help build Community and Friendships, but, well... hell, I don't want to lose all my hard earned Achievements.
Anyways, I'm done preachin'.

you won't lose your achievements
can't you just do what us ps3 owners do and copy all you trophies (achievements) and put them all back? secondly the file duplication i talked about is acceptable and i do it all the time in fallout 3 for another reason. lastly i also get free internet.

Uh, obviously you don't know Microsoft very well. So yeah... no. Microsoft does things their own way, and they can and HAVE blown up accounts that have been the subject of Achievement hacking. And you can't put them back, because the data is on Microsoft's end, so the moment you boot up, your account goes to whatever number they want. They maybe nice and just nix the points you earned for a certain game, or they could blow them all up.
File duplication is one thing, but cross conversion and whatnot isn't, and it still sides on a hair bit of too close to comfort. You want to do that sort of stuff with Sony, I don't have one, but I know how Microsoft plays and it's the line of "Play fair or we come down on you like an anvil".
So, in the immortal words of the Superintendent...

hey guys y would u hack the game is for enjoyment trust me after a hard week of school and sports i like to just onwind by playing this sweet game u know and this trading post that could b a real successful thing we could make the ranking of top players in the game i got a xbox 360 and trust me it is selling alot better tha ps3 and burncastle and salen what if we i kno i didnt make this idea but i really like the idea i need to be apart to help what if we make a system so we can do this help people find a specific gun in the game like the sick gun the bloody unforgiven we can go into other people's game and get it for them

you know my picture is a graph representing ps3 sales in red and its selling waaaaay more than the 360. secondly, sony believes their unhackable so they won't see this coming, lastly, i get semi-free electricity.

ok borderlandsfan u must hav gotten it a while ago cause the dsi is probally better ok so the only game that is making it move up by like 10% is uncharted 2 but when the brand new 250 gb call of duty modern warfare 2 with 2 controllers headset and the game explain to me y it doesnt make one for the ps3 cause maybe it sucks borderlands will probally make more one 360 than stupid ps3

That's a very good idea, BG should put something like an auction house on this site. You would only need to put the description of the gun (or piece of equipment) you need. Then someone would tell an hour and a date and those two person would meet up in a game and do the exchange.
Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how it remains so popular?
