I'm sorry if this topic has been discussed before but, what is the level cap on this game? But more importantly, how difficult will it be to level in the later stages? Will it take ages to level? Or will the level cap be simple to reach? I hope it will take ages to reach the level cap, i'd hate to do it in a few days or so...Again i'm sorry if this has already been discussed. Thanks xD

The level cap is 50, and

The level cap is 50, and apparently you can't reach it with just one playthrough of the game.

you play through once

get to a certain level, which wont be lvl 50, once you complete the first play through you start a new game plus, where you play through the campaign again, things are harder, and you will be able to reach lvl 50 in that play through

about 100 hours

The only thing we've heard so far is that it took Mikey Neumann the creative designer about 100 hours to reach the level cap. So don't worry it wont be just a few hours of fun before hitting 50...it will be 1+ playthrough and give or take 100 hours. Though i'm sure that number will go down considerably once people start hitting it and running people through playthroughs more quickly than they could alone, etc. Anyway...there ya go. Only 2 weeks 2 days to go everyone.

Thanks

Cheers for clearing that up for me, but does that mean that the game isn't open-ended but you can start the game again with the same character and same lvl, weapons, EQ etc? Sorry for the bombardment of questions btw! xD

And the game (to our

And the game (to our knowledge) is open ended.  Basically, your character is persistent.  You can take the exact character, with all of their perks and gear into the "New Game Plus" mode which is second run through the game where all of the enemies are like lvl 35'ish to 50

Yea it seems like a great

Yea it seems like a great combination of what single player RPGs (New Game Plus) are doing and FPS(Difficulty levels) and MMOs(persistent characters and enter/exit games seamlessly) are doing right now. Of course there is crossover already between those categories, but nothing like this (to my knowledge). BLs seems to have it's stuff together and thought out how the game is going to work very well. It's no surprise that Gearbox employees are as excited as they are and in turn transferring that back to we the gamers. This game has gotten me more excited than I have been in years about a game.
