50 is the cap. Mikey

50 is the cap. Mikey (Creative Director for the game) has stated you can't reach that level in 1 playthrough, and will have to play newgame+ to reach the level cap.

If 50 is the cap for newgame+, then what would the cap be for the first playthrough?

Cap

The cap is 50.  I think what Mikey means is that you can't get to 50 in one playthrough (all side quests, main quests) without a ton of grinding.  It might be possible to get to 50 before New Game + but it would likely involve a massive grind.

Dunno

I suppose we won't know until we play but I would imagine it would just be: It takes too long on 1 play through.

You can't reach it in one

You can't reach it in one playthrough, as in there is not enough EXP gained from doing every quest and killing every boss to reach level 50. If you wanted, you could grind doglegs over and over again until reach level 50, but what's the fun in doing that when you have the choice of playing a more challenging mode with even better loot?

if 50 is the cap, that means

if 50 is the cap, that means we cant max every skill : If we say every level gives you 1 skill point, then we would need to reach level 105 to max everything. We can reach the final tier in two skill, but it would mean never to give a skill point to the third one.

It goes like this:

Level 5 = Learning of the basic skill.

So, we have 45 skill points to spend in the three skill trees. Which means a maximum of 9 (out of 21) skill to max.

We need to attribute at least 15 skill points in a tree to reach the final tier (an additional five if we want to max it). So if we want to completly max a skill tree, it will leave us on only five skill points to spend in the two others, which is just enough to reach the second tier, but without having anymore points to spend.

I wonder if it is possible to reset your stat???

hmm...wonder why?  Maybe so

hmm...wonder why?  Maybe so that you don't get 4 Rolands or 4 Mordicai's running around with maxed stats.  No matter how long you play, or how much time you put into the game chances are that you will have a different build than at least two of the 4 total players.  I mean common', what are the odds that there will be 4 Bricks that have maxed the heavy weapons tree?

@Ghinao

That's exactly why it's like that.  They don't want the characters to feel the same in the end.  You want to have diversity, it's what makes your character different from others.
