87 Bazillion, a Borderlands blog that we don't check nearly enough, posted an interview with the actress who played the game's guardian angel. It's an interesting peek into one part of the game's creation.

Don't expect any hints on the future of the character though. The actress plays coy when it comes to that.

She is just as much of a mystery to me as she is to you. From the beginning you are unsure of her, where she comes from, or simply who she is. Throughout the game you develop a relationship with her as you play, however the mystery is always there. The people at Gearbox are so creative and you never really know what they will come up with next, So it will be exciting to see where they go with it.

It certainly will.

IMO I thought she was annoying...

Pretty damn annoying at that.  Her voice was annoying too, I'd rather listen to lost tapes of Mad Moxxie all day.  I felt the plot was weak in that respect.

I wouldn't have trusted her in the least, obviously she needed your character for something only out of her own interests, there's some hidden agenda there.... lack of transparency... there is a trust issue here....

... I would rather they completely drop the guardian angel altogether, but given the story development, that would be highly unlikely *yawns* then again, I don't think Borderlands is successful because of a compelling and carefully woven story.  In this regard Borderlands is flat out low C-grade material.

I remember the old days of PC gaming and playing brilliant story-driven games like Wing Commander, System shock, Gabriel Knight and many others.  That element of quality storytelling is harder to find these days in gaming.

IMO, the best storyline in a video game I have ever played is probably Gabriel Knight : The Beast Within.  If anyone knows what I'm talking about here, that game was an absolute masterpiece in storytelling.
