Ideas for the "Gunopedia"
I guess this is more to BG than anyone else.
I think it would be good to have more than 10 guns per page first of all. I mean, if we do hit the 1,000,000 mark, that's 100,000 pages! I'd bump it up to 50 or 100. There's a massive amount of blank space on the pages.
Also, pictures next to the gun info on the main page (with the list of guns) would be awesome.
I have an idea as well. It would be good to have the Gunopedia able to be updated by anyone, like Wikipedia. A search function that allows you to find the exact make and model of a gun would be nice to find the gun you're looking for. If your specified gun isn't in the Gunopedia yet, you can create a new entry for it. It seems like it would be a much easier way to keep it constantly updated.
Very doable Onekill. I hope to eventually allow others to submit guns directly to the Gunopedia.
Thanks BG. Also, I realized that most of the guns pictures are in the game's old graphics, so if we get new pics, will you be updating those as well? Also, I noticed a few typo's in gune names (Some of the BLA's are actually BLR's), so you might want to check that out. One last thing. When it comes out, you might want to add an "Armor-pedia" or something for the 500,000+ armor pieces.
I love your idea OneKill. That would certaily lighten up BG's job since there are a massive amount of guns.
The only way the current pictures could be changed into the models with the new graphics is if someone actually found those exact guns in the game and got pics of them. It's entirely possible that we may never see of those guns again.
I love the sheer number, but hate the fact that I might not be able to get absolutely EVERYTHING.
Haha, there's no "might" about it. It's guaranteed that you'll only come across a small fraction of what the game has to offer.

Progress. The Gunopedia should now show 50 guns per page.
Both good suggestions. The first one I'm definitely going to implement as soon as I get the chance. Probably this weekend.
The second one I'm going to look into. If pictures appear next to the gun though, we wouldn't obviously be able to squeeze as many on a page.
